ABOUT
As a writer, videographer, researcher and photographer, I find local stories which have a global relevance.
My work has made me passionate about documenting themes including: women’s life journeys — often culturally sensitive, or stories which may be difficult to access, for example, access to family planning, remote communities, ‘unskilled’ abortion; the effects of population growth; climate and environmental change; wildlife conservation, and ecosystem connectivity; emerging science; aerial landscapes — and the key points in these stories where these can intersect. I am always looking for moments of transformation in people’s lives, and how these insights can make us think and feel differently, on our own journey.
I especially love to capture the unexpected in the everyday, and bring the backstories to life by discreetly documenting hidden moments from behind-the-scenes.

With a diverse range of experience over 25+ years, I've worked across print and digital media, video and specialist PR. Resident in Kenya for nearly 20 years now, my understanding of the country and culture from working in the safari business, also in areas of social enterprise, science research administration, conservation and consultancy, have given me a broad yet detailed knowledge of operations and logistical challenges, plus extensive access and insight, from the grassroots up.
